Responsible for assisting the mechanics in the repairs and maintenance of the organisations fleet, plant and equipment and for maintaining the workshop and associated equipment in a safe, clean and tidy condition.
Main duties include:
- Ability to perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Tyre checks and repairs.
- Pick up and drop off Parts when required.
- Carry out daily inspections where required.
- Assist team members with repairs and maintenance as requested.
- Initiate actions to prevent the occurrence of equipment non -conformance.
- Identify and report any equipment quality problems.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, memos, general correspondence and apply the knowledge to carry out instructions.
- Developing knowledge of the use of workshop equipment as instructed.
- Developing knowledge of the operation of the truck wash equipment.
- Cleaning and refilling of amenities when required.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Working relationships with other employees are cooperative and effective.
- General knowledge of Occupational Health, Safety regulations.
- Ensure you always follow the site safety requirements.
- Ensure HSE Policies and Procedures in relation to health, safety & environment within the site are adhered to.
- Ensure all incidents and accidents are immediately reported.
- Adherence to company on site speed policy.
- Attend required induction, medical and drug and alcohol testing as advised by management.
